University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2023-24 for International Students:
For the University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2023–24 in Brunei, applications are open. The University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2023 is open to all international students from all over the world for the January 2024 intake. A fully funded scholarship is available to students who wish to pursue a Master’s or Ph.D. degree at the University of Brunei Darussalam. The Brunei Scholarship covers for all fees associated with completing the degree. No application fee is necessary.
In addition to Islamic Studies, Business, Arts, Science, Health Sciences, Asian Studies, Policy Studies, Education, Biodiversity, and Integrated Technologies, UBD offers nearly every academic field and major. This scholarship covers for all of the costs related to studying postgraduate degrees.
The first university in Brunei was founded in 1985 and is known as University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD). According to the 2022 QS Asia University Rankings, UBD ranks 86th in Asia, and according to the 2020 QS World University Rankings, it is placed 254th worldwide.

Financial Benefits:
The University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2023–24 in Brunei is a full scholarship that will covers for all of the costs related to studying postgraduate degree programs at UBD. Below is further information:
- Waived Tuition at University of Brunei Darussalam, Including Registration & Acceptance Fees.
- A 36-month subsistence allowance of BND 2,200.00 per month.
- Accommodation on campus for 36 months.
- Once obtaining the scholarship, they will receive one round-trip economy class airfare from their home country, and once they finish their studies, they will receive the same ticket back.
- Field research allowances (BND 1,000 for applicants in the humanities and arts and BND 2,000 for those in science).
Scholarship Duration:
The University of Brunei classifies the scholarship duration into three categories, including:
- Master by Coursework: Depending on the program, the study period will be either 12 months at full time or 18 months.
- Master by Research: The full-time study period will last 24 months.
- Doctor of Philosophy: Depending on the program, the minimum study term will be either 60 months of part-time study or 36 months of full-time study.

Eligibility Criteria:
- All Bruneian students as well as students from other countries are eligible to apply.
- To apply for the Master’s Degree, applicants must have a First Class Bachelor’s degree.
- To apply for a Ph.D. degree program, applicants must have a Master’s degree certificate.
- A powerful and high-caliber research proposal.
- Suitable to pursue studies in the chosen field.
- The English language requirements must be fulfilled.
